“Oh yes lord, I am willing to do that and to go wherever You lead me, even back here to the Philippines or to the land of Japan.” |

Our financial planning is based on 6 years of accumulated data of living and doing ministry here at Misawa. We have discovered where we can reduce some costs and avoid others. Our rent is the single biggest segment of the budget and we are staying vigilant in prayer that God would provide the resources necessary to move forward in this area. Additionally, we have decided to waive all salary as we have a retirement income so that all giving goes exclusively to ministry costs. The chart below depicts how the percentages work out for total ministry expenses.

The total monthly income that is needed to fully meet the requirements of this ministry is based on a per month dollar amount adjusted for the current exchange rate. When we first started to raise our support the exchange rate was 95 yen to the dollar but has now dropped to 76 yen to the dollar as of 1 August. This has seriously impacted our available income and has resulted in having to spend nearly all of our ministry savings to keep this ministry going. A three year averaging based on actual expenses was used to establish the original budget of $5700/mo which has since been adjusted to compensate for the weakening dollar and now stands at $6700/mo. The chart above depicts what our current status is. We have included as much data as possible in response to many of your requests concerning our currrent financial status and we are trusting God to lead us on how best to continue.
